PHOTOGRAPHY
One of my biggest passions in life is photography and it is something I always enjoyed doing on my free time. You will catch me with a camera in hand at all times just capturing snapshots of things around me. During my college career, I had the chance to take a few photography classes and learned about photo editing on Adobe Photoshop , lighting, using manual mode on my camera, and angles. My love for photography gave me the courage to sign up for the study abroad program in Costa Rica. After weeks of anticipation, I got accepted! During my time in Costa Rica, I learned so much more about Adobe photoshop and learning to capture the little things in life. It was truly a life changing experience for an amateur photographer, like myself. Below are a few passion projects I’ve done in the past year. I hope you enjoy browsing through them as much as I loved taking them!

FABULOUS FABY
One of my photography classes taught me the importance of lighting and how it can dramatically change a photo. I was so intrigued by this I went out and bought light gels from Amazon and spent hours shooting these photos of my model, Faby. All it took was a white blanket for a backdrop, a small lamp, and the light gels. I placed the light gels over the small lamp and got a range of colors that gave it a nightlife type look. I really wanted to focus on different angels, lighting, and practice my portrait skills.

COSTA RICA
My study abroad trip is one that I will never forget, especially in a place as beautiful and green as Costa Rica. The beginning of my trip I tried to capture the more modern city life of Costa Rica, and towards the end of the trip I focused on the beautiful nature around campus and all the hikes I went on. When capturing these photos I really wanted to pay attention to the little details and shapes of the objects.

TO A DEAR FRIEND
This photo project is a very personal one, and one that I will always hold deep in my heart. My first semester of my senior year of college, I found out one of my best friends passed away. To pay tribute to her, I decided to create a photo series to remember her by. Each photo represents a place we went to together and the fun memory behind it.  I took a trip down memory lane and went to each destination the printed photo was taken at. From high school prom to college memories, these photos will always be dedicated to my dear friend, Lauren.

WHAT GOES AROUND COMES AROUND & AROUND
One of the first themed photo projects I did was one that was simple, but can be found around us in everyday objects and places. I went around different places in Athens, my home, and even my food and found one main component. Circles! There are shapes all around us in everyday objects whether they are in plain sight, or hidden around us.
